Dr. Djurdjic was born in Eastern Europe and then lived in Munich, Germany before moving to Kenosha, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin- Parkside, and majored in Biological Sciences. While there, she completed her prerequisites for dental school and was able to get into dental school one year early. She attended Marquette University for dental school, where she was elected and served as class representative, participated in various volunteer activities, and graduated magna cum laude. She was also on the Dean’s list and received an award for clinical excellence. Her favorite part of dental school was being able to interact with patients from all walks of life. In particular, a large number of their patient base came from disadvantaged backgrounds, and she found joy in being able to provide them with quality care and increase their self-confidence.
Dr. Djurdjic first became interested in dentistry while in high school. She started off as a patient in her orthodontist’s office and then went on to work as an orthodontic assistant for him. During this time, she saw firsthand the positive impact made on patients as they completed their treatment. Their self-confidence increased, and they left the office with better attitudes and outlooks on life. This positivity inspired her to become a dentist so that she could help others in that same way.
Her favorite part of dentistry is the patient’s experience. She is dedicated to providing quality dental services, but also in ensuring excellent patient satisfaction. She knows that many patients are nervous and apprehensive about going to the dentist’s office, and she has made it her mission to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment for them. She believes that communication, compassion, and a high standard of care are key to taking care of patients. Dr. Djurdjic is a general dentist, and is excited to continue to expand her knowledge through continuing education courses in order to better serve her patients.
